Timothy A. Sheriff is a skilled litigation and personal injury attorney in Charlotte, North Carolina. Tim is Board Certified in Truck Accident Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and focuses his practice primarily on tractor-trailer or truck crashes, motor
vehicle crashes, and motorcycle collisions. Tim holds a North Carolina Class A Commercial Driver’s License that allows him to drive large trucks, 18-wheelers, or tractor-trailer combinations. Tim provides representation to clients throughout the State of North Carolina and regularly works on big truck crash cases in other states in collaboration with lawyers in those states.
With five years of experience as a police officer in Columbia, South Carolina, Tim’s experience as a police officer has taught him the importance of conducting in-depth investigations to ensure all favorable facts are preserved, all witnesses are located, and all those responsible for causing his clients’ injuries are held accountable. Tim earned his Bachelor of Science degree from The University of South Carolina at Columbia and earned his Juris Doctor from Charlotte School of Law. Tim met his wife while in law school and truly enjoys spending time with her and their son Noah, their two Australian Shepherds, and his family as they take every opportunity to travel and experience new things. He also enjoys working out, hiking, and fishing.
Tim is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, the American Association of Justice – Truck Litigation Group, and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys. He has been admitted to practice law in North Carolina and the United States District Court for the Eastern District Court of North Carolina, the Middle District Court of North Carolina, and the Western District Court of North Carolina. Tim has also been included in The North Carolina Legal Elite, Super Lawyers, The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Attorneys Under 40, sits on the Board of Regents for the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, and now is a Class A Licensed CDL truck driver.
